My first impression of To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, was oh great this is going to be the slowest book I've ever read. Luckily it turned out to be the best book I have read this school year so far. I am keeping up with the reading at good times and I am annotating well. I have found everything in the syllabus for the chapters I have read so far, the annotating helps me understand a little bit better about the material but I get it quite well right now.
I remember when it was the first time I got sent out of the class a was a good kid but I made one wrong move and it's the most embarrassing thing ever. To be sent out of class in front of everyone and be clearly talked to by the teacher and then come in to laughing snickers on the faces of others. "A storm of laughter broke loose when it finally occurred to the class that miss Caroline had just whipped me."
